I have blogged about the China Central Television Tower (CCTV) before, and included a photo I took from the Kerry Centre down the street.  

A major part of the new CCTV complex, the soon to be opened Mandarin Oriental, has caught fire and is totally destroyed.  The hotel can be seen in my original blog post in the lower picture, to the right of the CCTV tower.

This photo from the LA Times shows the CCTV tower to the left, and the Mandarin Oriental, totally engulfed in flames, to the right.
